Founded in 2007 by Aletha VanderMaas, Pearls Events is an event planning boutique with offices in Grand Rapids, Michigan, serving clients planning celebrations throughout the state.
We plan, design and coordinate Michigan events with our dedicated team of three.
We have a studio space in downtown Grand Rapids for meetings, but because many of our clients live out of town, we also meet regularly via phone and Skype.
Leah VanBoxel is a graduate of Cornerstone University with a bachelors degree in communications. She joined the Pearls Events team in 2012.
Leah has a passion for people and parties and she thoroughly enjoys working with the Pearls Events team. She has assisted with the planning and coordinating of many corporate and personal events.
When she's not working, Leah loves baking, travelling, and spending her summers at the beach.
Leah Baillargeon discovered her passion for weddings while working as a bridal consultant at a bridal salon while attending Calvin College. Leah has been part of the Pearls Events team since 2012.
Leah loves seeing the whole event come together and working as a team to make it happen.
When she isn't working with a bride on her wedding day, Leah works enjoys spending time with her husband, Tom, extended family and friends, traveling, and putting her creativity to good use.
Aletha VanderMaas fell in love with events over seventeen(!) years ago while working in catering. After earning her bachelor of arts in marketing, she accepted a position with the world's largest Christian communications company.
After four years in the publishing industry, Aletha infused her love for customer service, weddings & sales and marketing by creating Pearls Events. Her desire to create an event that reflects the client is her number one priority.
Aletha enjoys spending time with her family while they work on their midcentury modern home, travel the country in their Volkswagen and entertain friends on their patio.
